This two-day Collage/Mixed Media workshop focuses on guiding participants to discover their own artistic cosmos and personal artistic voice, using collage and mixed media. Over the weekend, you'll explore essential collage and mixed media techniques while diving into your own creative process. Enjoy 4 three hour sessions over the weekend, aka a full immersion into developing your artistic voice through modern art techniques. Morning classes are a blend of art history and live demonstrations, afternoon classes offer plenty of guided studio time. On Saturday learn how to create a collage using found papers and photo's and (optional) your own personal photo's. On Sunday learn how to combine materials, textures, and media in expressive new ways, and design your own mixed media piece, experimenting freely with what speaks to you. Everyone will be supported in their art-making process. You will make new discoveries and develop your skills—and walk away with two finished artworks that reflect your unique artistic voice.
